Terms & Conditions
Easybet Group (Pty) Ltd (‘Easybet’) is a private registered company in South Africa with company number (2022/541017/07) whose registered office is at 3rd Floor, 186 Loop Street, Cape Town, South Africa, 8001.
Easybet is licensed to accept bets under a license issued by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board and owned by Easybet Group (Pty) Ltd.
These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Easybet and the Customer. A Customer is a user who has an account and accepts these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions outline the provisions relating to the opening and use of an Easybet gaming account. The Customer must familiarise himself with these Terms and Conditions to fully understand the operation of Easybet service and avoid disputes.
Easybet has the right to amend these Terms and Conditions to improve understanding and correct certain nuances, in case of changes in legal and regulatory provisions in South Africa that affect the company’s activities. Easybet reserves the right not to notify the Client of any changes to the Terms and Conditions, accordingly, the Client undertakes to check regularly for updates in this section. Changes will come into effect after they are published on Easybet’s website. The Client is responsible for keeping copies of transaction records, policies, and service rules.
By accepting these Terms and Conditions the Easybet Customer agrees to use the server solely for entertainment purposes on his/her behalf. Money laundering and fraud are strictly prohibited. The Customer also acknowledges that any action that violates these Terms and Conditions is not permitted and punishable.
By accepting the Terms and Conditions, the Easybet Customer acknowledges that he/she is aware of the risks of sports betting and gambling. The Customer also confirms that the registration form has been completed voluntarily, without coercion. The Customer’s losses are not Easybet’s responsibility.
1. Eligibility to Bet
1.1 The User may open an account or place a bet at Easybet if he/she:
- Belongs to the category of natural persons (for companies of various sizes, closed joint stock companies, or other forms of legal entities registration in the system and placing bets is prohibited);
- Has reached the age of majority (18 years);
- Has filled in the registration form and indicated real data;
- Is not included in the register of excluded persons provided for in section 14 of the National Gambling Act 2004 and is not in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
1.2 By completing the registration form to create a gaming account, the Customer shall be deemed to have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions and the Regulations relating to betting on sporting events and horse racing or any other published events.
In addition, the completion of the registration form shall be deemed as a request from Easybet:
- To agree in accordance with these Regulations for the provision of sports betting registration services on sporting events, horse racing, and other legal events (“Services”) with such person (“Client”);
- To open a gambling account in the name of the Client to render the above services. The Agreement shall be deemed to have been concluded when Easybet notifies the Customer or accepts a bet/s on a sporting/sporting event.
1.3 Under the terms of Easybet’s license, all bets on sporting events, horse racing, and other legal events are deemed to be confirmed and received in the jurisdiction of South Africa.
2. Account opening process
2.1 When opening an account, the Client ensures that he/she provides correct and up-to-date information. In case of any changes regarding contact details/personal information that may affect identification, the Customer is obliged to notify Easybet. In case of violation of this rule, Easybet reserves the right to block/delete the Customer’s account.
Easybet also reserves the right to:
- Accept or reject an account application.
- To stop accepting bets from the Customer at its discretion. Easybet is not obliged to disclose the reason for the cancellation.
Easybet may reject an application for registration for the following reasons:
- Violation of the rules of filling in the registration form: the form is not filled in completely, and the data provided is not correct.
- Additional information requested by Easybet is not provided.
2.3 Client’s responsibility
The Easybet customer is fully responsible for the use of the data provided when creating a bet. When creating an account, the customer undertakes the following obligations:
- Not to have more than one gambling account with Easybet.
- Not to create bets from another person.
- To use only funds from his/her gaming account when creating a bet.
- Not to create bets at the request of third parties.
2.4. Easybet reserves the right to refuse to create a bet in case of circumstances specified in clause 2.3.
2.5. The Customer is obliged to notify Easybet in case of loss/theft of account or personal data.
3. Linked bets
Easybet does not accept bets that are linked: the result of one bet directly affects the result of the second bet.
Easybet reserves the right not to accept bets if:
- The result of one part of the bet affects the result of another part. The bet will be canceled if the player deliberately creates such a bet.
- A multiple bet consists of several parts that relate to the same event.
- If the bet includes events of one team or its players.
Easybet determines the maximum and minimum bet amount for the markets. The Client assumes the responsibility to find out in advance about any restrictions on bet amounts. Easybet also has the right to limit the minimum and maximum winnings from a particular bet.
4. Placement of bets
Bets must be placed via the Internet or other electronic services of Easybet. The company will recognize a bet as invalid if it is not confirmed after placing.
The minimum bet at Easybet is ZAR1. Once a bet is confirmed, it cannot be changed or deleted. The winnings are calculated from the amount that was fixed at the moment of bet confirmation.
A valid bet is accepted by the server that manages Easybet. In this case, the location of the customer does not matter.
Easybet reserves the right to cancel or accept any bet or part thereof placed by the user.
By creating an account, the customer automatically warrants that any betting message will be kept for as long as necessary and recorded in any way Easybet deems appropriate.
It is the responsibility of the Client to be aware of the rules of the market. The Player acknowledges that errors from non-recognition of parcels cannot be directed to Easybet.
Easybet is not responsible for errors relating to prices, start times, and results. However, it is in the interest of Easybet to ensure the accuracy of the publication.
The time of bet registration is deemed to be from the moment when the bet is accepted by Easybet software.
Easybet has the right to reject the bet or part of it at any time and refund the bet. In addition, Easybet may block one or more users if there is a suspicion of collusion.
5. Deposits
You can deposit funds to your gaming account after opening an account. How to do it:
- Login to the created account.
- Function ‘Deposit’.
- Select payment system (credit/debit card, electronic transfer, payment vouchers, e-wallets, cryptocurrency).
- Payment confirmation.
For direct bank transfers, the minimum deposit amount is 20 ZAR. Processing time for bank transfers is 2-3 working days.
If it turns out that the name of the account holder or cardholder does not match the name of the Customer, the money will be returned to the bank and the game account will be blocked. In this situation, the Customer may be asked to provide proof of ownership of the bank account/card. The further outcome of events will be decided based on this information.
6. Withdrawal of funds
Remuneration for won bets on the Client’s account can be withdrawn via the Easybet platform. To do this, you need to:
- Logging in to the account.
- Selecting the ‘Withdrawal’ function.
- Selecting the payment system.
- Filling in the fields.
- Confirmation of payment.
If the Client has specified a withdrawal to an account other than his own, the withdrawal request will not be processed. Withdrawal transactions should be made to the bank account, which is owned by the Client.
The payment provider may limit the withdrawal amount, which may require several transactions within a few days. Withdrawal fees may be charged, of which the Client will be informed.
7. Betting Restrictions
Persons affiliated with Easybet are not authorized to open an account and place bets on the platform. Persons who are affiliated with a sporting event are not authorized to place bets on them.
If bets related to the above points are detected, Easybet will cancel the bet and invalidate it.
Syndicate betting is prohibited on the Easybet platform.
8. Bet cancellation
Easybet may cancel a bet in whole or in part if:
- A bet is offered, placed, or accepted as a result of an error.
- The bet is accepted in atypical circumstances or case of a technical error.
- The bet is a syndicate bet.
- A statement has been made about the event on which the bet has been placed which has a material effect on the odds.
Easybet may cancel the bet at any stage of its execution.
9. Payout limits
Easybet has the right to limit the net payout on any bet or combination of bets. The limit depends on the specific sport, league, and type of bet.
A payout limit of R50 000 applies to single bets on sports betting.
Easybet defines the maximum amount that can be received on a multiple bet at ZAR 1,000,000. This limit also applies to bets placed or taking place on multiple days.
10. Exclusion from betting activities
The Client may at any time request self-exclusion from the Easybet platform for a certain period or permanently.
If the Client believes that they have developed a gambling addiction, Easybet recommends that they complete the online checklist of the National Responsible Gambling Programme. Customers are advised to visit the South African Responsible Gaming Foundation website which contains comprehensive information on the NRGP and self-exclusion procedures.
Self-exclusion options:
- Short-term exclusion for 24 hours to consider further action.
- Account suspension for at least 1 month.
- Account suspension for at least three months.
- Permanent self-exclusion without the possibility for the customer to re-register.
To request self-exclusion, the Client should contact the Easybet support team. In case of permanent account closure, Easybet will refund the account balance, excluding bonus funds.
11. Rules of individual games and betting events
The Customer is obliged to fully familiarise himself/herself with the rules of the games and betting markets with which he/she plans to interact. By creating an account, the Customer certifies that he/she has read and accepts the rules.
